Friday Fictioneers – Birthday Surprise
My usual enormous gratitude to Rochelle for running FriFic. Here is this week’s prompt:
I welcome and encourage all comments and criticisms.
Kate held her father’s hand lovingly as the cellists concluded their recital. The two musicians, dressed smartly in skirt suits, stood to accept the applause with polite curtsies.
“Happy 80th Dad,” Kate said, “did you enjoy the music?”
“Um…it was very nice.”
Kate was a little disappointed that he was not more enthusiastic about the surprise she had arranged. “I thought you’d like this,” she said, “I overheard you telling Uncle James that you would to have love two cellists at your party.”
“Not quite,” came the reply, “I said I wanted a party with two young girls and jello.”
Haha… Guess dad is naughty like that lol. Nice work…
He’s 80 now, who’s gonna tell him off? LOL
Ahahahaha. That’s hilarious. Thanks for that laugh. : )
Its a silly joke but it tickled me so i went with it
I enjoyed it and am glad you did.
That was nice! He is getting old but he is still alive
He’s not lost his lust for life!
And this is very good. There are some people who grow old and forget themselves. Bury themselves in life!
Be as old as you feel. age is just a number!
That’s my kind of old man.
Thats the kind of old man i hope to be!
Oh honey I’m sure you will be.
