I have to confess not a favourite of mine either not hard enough for true techno but to be fair I saw a few of his live sets and I wasn’t blown away by them but at least he used real vinyl the other half put something on tv on NYE where some woman was DJ-ing (see how out of things I am these days lol) and I was very disappointed to see she had it all computerised and basically just twiddled a few knobs made me long for the old days soooooooo another one of those heres what I did with my misspent youth moments I was here somewhere lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFicDOxQWkA
so many DJs use laptops and mp3s now, it makes for seemless beatmatching, looping and sampling on the hoof and less backache for the dj – and DJS like DJ Yoda or Kid Koala are massively inventive with their cut&paste… but you cant beat the romance of 2 turntables and a microphone. It’s where it all started.
