All Knotted Up

1 July, 2012

This was inspired by a comment that TheOthers1 made on her post when the conversation turned to English accents. I am no poet, and this comes nowhere near the quality of her work, but as a tribute I had to write this in verse instead of prose.

Talk to me

Whisper to me

Whisk me away on an atlantic voyage

With your words and your exotic voice

Hold me

Embrace me

Entice me and carry me aloft

Enveloping me inside those English arms

Your lips speak

My hands stroke

Minutely vibrating upon my core

Mindful only of your tongue’s caress

Tell me more

Of home, abroad

And join your fingers with my own

Exploring as my delicacy opens

I hear no words

I see whole worlds

I am carried on a blissful odyssey

In search of pleasures and senses outside me

I am complete

You continue

Enticing me with voice and heart and hand

Eden is here, my piece of England’s pleasant land.

Oh, I like what you did here. Very nice. ❤

  2. This was lovely.

  3. These are my favorite lines:

    “Tell me more
    Of home”

    “I hear no words
    I see whole worlds”
