Poetic Shadows

19 November, 2012

Me and Hasty have been doing it again. Writing poetry I mean.

I need your comfort
Your presence near mine
Just holding my hand in silence
Speaks volumes to my soul

We converse with fingertips
Subtle touches have deep meanings
Our minds speak through our palms
Sharing past, present, future

Glimpses shared given life
On the pages we create
History in our control
Entwining futures untold

If our closeness faded
Into distant empty silences
What unimaginable futures would unfold
Filled with vacancy and void of colour

Friendship based on written words
Lived emotions spelled out
Intentions trusted and believed
A poetic shadow of me

I like this one a lot. “Our minds speak through our palms”. Nice collabo
