Friday Fictioneers – Corridor

7 December, 2012

Big thanks as usual to Rochelle for running FriFic and for this week’s prompt:

Copyright-Rich Vosa

All comments and criticisms welcome.

Silence disturbed him more than piercing sounds of pain. Today was silent. Today it might be his shouts that will echo in the corridor. They would decide.

He could not gauge how long he had been alone. Time had no meaning here, he had not seen natural light since he arrived. He no longer knew the time, the day, even the month. It no longer mattered.

He had learnt not to struggle against the straps on the gurney, it would be wasted energy. Best to conserve his strength to resist whatever was planned for him.

He laid still and waited.

Goodness. Sinister is the word I’m looking for and hopeless as well. I’d like to find out how in the works he wound up there. Like this.

  2. OOOh what’s coming for him?
Perhaps his own mind, when left along, it can do dark things..
    ,More pleaaaaaaaase ;D

  3. Great job BUT, like L says I need more. Pretty Please?!?

  4. I thought this was a very good piece. Especially when you look at the photo while reading. I liked the use of the word ‘might’. Well done.

  5. Very good piece RG. Like it very much.
