The diet starts tomorrow

17 January, 2013

A friend and I decided we have been pigging out too much recently. What should have been an occasional treat, a rare luxury to spoil ourselves with, was becoming part of our regular everyday routine. We both knew all along that we were overindulging, but when something tastes that good, it is so hard to resist.

Yesterday we decided it was time to cut back and to show self-control. We would diet together, and  support each other’s resistance. And we so nearly lasted the day, not acknowledging the chocolate ice cream elephant in the room. But then one of us -I don’t know which, does it even matter? – hinted at the very last thing that maybe just a tiny taste wouldn’t hurt, and before we knew it, the sweet taste tempted us both. The diet starts tomorrow I said as I left.

So far today we have been good.  Let’s see if continues.

  1. OMG I am rubbish at diets! 4 days though carb free…yay me. One day at a time!

  2. Hahaha…what did Scarlet Ohara say….I will think about that tomorrow! Good luck!

Good luck. I seem to forever to be on a diet. Overindulging makes me feel guilty, but it’s nice to indulge every so often. Like I said, good luck. 🙂
