Friday Fictioneers – Retired

22 March, 2013

Hello, I’m TRG and I will be suppying some Fic for your Fri. Thanks to Rochelle for this week’s prompt:

Feel free to comment, to criticise or to not like my 100 words.

Our days are full now we have both retired to the country. Our working life together only lasted a handful of years but in that short time we won trophies, money, fame, happiness. And a lifelong respect and friendship. We make occasional appearances together for charity, but the rest of our time is our own.

There is an infinite horizon to explore, hills and valleys that neither of us have seen. We head out as the sun rises, our return often lit by the moon and stars. And sometimes we just hang out in the paddock, playing with a hose.

  1. For a moment I thought the ‘we’ included the hose

  2. Very nice my dear. Loved the imagery of the horizon. Can imagine it going on forever….
