Happy Birthday Mum

19 May, 2013

I wanted to write a post on what would have been my Mum’s 77th birthday. But I think I’ve said it all before here and here.

Happy birthday Mum. I think of you and miss you every day

From → Blogging, My Head

  1. I read your ‘here’ and ‘hear’ first and you’ve so beautifully expressed your love for your Mum.
Happy Birthday to your Mum, as today is the 1 month anniversary since my Mom died (2 days after her birthday) reading that it’s your Mum’s birthday today now has me picturing the two of them up there together, sharing a cup of tea and some scones, just like my Mom and I always did.
Stay strong, as your strength bleeds through your words and passes along to people like me.
Your Mum is immensely proud of the man you’ve become. She is always with you. ❤

    • your comments mean alot to me Joanne, thank you. It seems a strange coincidence how we found each other’s blogs at this exact time and yes, maybe they have found each other too.
Hugs to you and to both our Mums

Happy birthday to your mum! I’m sure it is a pain that can’t be described with words. As Joanne wrote: “She is always with you.” So, show her love and not tears. Make her a cake! I know it sounds a bit weird and I don’t want you think is a kind of joke or something like that. It was one of the ways I found to make less painful the loss of someone, not my mother, but someone… the light that once brightened my days!

    • Hi MI! i like the idea of making a cake, she made enough for me over the years it seems only fair i return the favour! I always make a point of saying happy birthday and remembering her on her birthday (more than usual) but it would be nice to spend some time doing something just for her.
And I’m sorry for your loss. Losing ANYONE special is hard, but those that are closest are the hardest of all.

Oh, I’m glad you liked the idea! 🙂

“Losing ANYONE special is hard, but those that are closest are the hardest of all.”
        You’re totally right! :/

  3. You wrote just the right amount… She liked it.
