Friday Fictioneers – Graveyard
Fri is here, and that means it’s time to post some Fic. Thanks to Rochelle for this week’s prompt:
My 100 word effort follows. Below that is a space for your commentage.
Whenever he is back in his hometown he visits this graveyard to sit on the stone bench in quiet remembrance. Today, the anniversary of his sister’s passing, is not just a day when he happens to be home, today he has endured the eight-hour bus journey just to be here, peacefully.
She chose this spot early in her life, the family always knew that when her time came this is where she would like to rest. When the tsunami struck, the ocean kept her body, but her spirit came home. And he senses her here, on this day, every year.
OI! No more of this making the reader wanna cry after reading your words, i mean really, that is just too rude!
Obviously I joke, but seriously, you did make my eyes watery as my mind became flooded with memories of too many worldwide disasters and too much death everywhere.
You really know how to paint a full picture with just 100 words, to use your own words, well done 😀
Youre very kind, thank you!
