Saturday Smile – 20th July

20 July, 2013

It’s been so hot this week that raising the corners of my mouth is tiring and makes me sweat but there have been occasions that have been smile-worthy. Namely…

  • England leading 1-0 after one of the most exciting Test matches since the 2005 Ashes
  • Finding a piece of card the exact size and colour I needed at the stationers and being told it was actually packaging and I could have it for free
  • Going to the Proms at the Albert Hall for the first time in a few years
  • Building a set of shelves for my tea collection at work (pics to follow when they are in place)

So you MUST have smiled this week. Tell us when and why!

Last night! It’s happening a special program dedicated to Quentin Tarantino, showing his films, and last night I was watching Django. Very good and funny movie! It’s impossible not to smile and laugh. ^_^

    • I love QT, and Django was brilliant. I cant decide whether Leonardo di Caprio or Samuel L Jackson was best though, what do you think?

Oh, that’s difficult! Christoph Waltz is my favorite, but between them both I think… Samuel L Jackson. Leonardo was great I just expected more from his character, I guess.

      • Waltz was awesome in Inglorious Basterds, so for me he was never going to match that.
It took me a few minutes to realise it was Jackson so i suppose based on that he had to be better. But i had to think carefully 🙂

Yeah, I know. That’s another movie I like. Hmm, his character is funny and Leonardo’s is not so severe as I thought he was. But, what is good, all them are great!

      • Every actor always gives a great performance in every QT film

        True. ^_^
