Saturday Smile – 14th September
Those of you who saw my posts last week will know I have been on holiday for the last few days, staying with friends and their beautiful 5-year-old daughter. So this week has really been one long smile for me, but particular highlights included:
- Visiting Lands End – the very furthest South-West corner of England – and waving to my American friends
- Visiting the mini farm there and meeting the sheep with the world’s worst baaa
- Being introduced to one of my friends’ friends as “this is TRG, he’s a writer”
- Watching all five Omen films even though we knew that everything after the first one would be rubbish
- Singing along to Julie Andrews songs in the car and being amazed their daughter knows ALL the words
- Pretending to her that I couldn’t say “helicopter” and hearing her screaming with laughter
- Telling her that her newly-brushed teeth were so bright they hurt my eyes – and hearing more laughter
- Using my laptop to write on the train and feeling what it would be like to do it for a living
- Having a pub lunch including a Cheese Board so great i took a photo of the menu
- Despite a brilliant week, getting home and sleeping in my own bed
Do you have some smiles to share with us all? What has turned your frown upside down this week?
BEAUTIFUL
thanks my dear 🙂
