Friday Fictioneers – Dolphin

20 December, 2013

My weekly and heartlfely thanks to Rochelle for supplying us all with prompts every week. This is the picture she selected for this week:

My 100 words, inspired by the design on the suncatcher, resurrected characters I have written about before:

Come in. Sit down.

I think I know what this is about. You aren’t happy with my work are you?

Well you must admit you’ve come up with some crackpot ideas lately – trolls, unicorns, yetis, aliens, and of course that zebigeraffant.

And your latest suggestion… mammals that swim and live in the sea?

You don’t like it do you?

Me? No.

But. The Man – he loves it. It will mess with people’s heads, he says, confuse them, keep them guessing.

So you’re not firing me?

Not at all! Congratulations, you finally got a creature onto the Approved list!

  1. I love it! Though I really think The Man should reconsider approving unicorns.
