Friday Fictioneers – Journey

9 January, 2015

It’s been a couple of weeks since I wrote anything for FriFic, and it shows. I take full responsibility for the fact that my response to Rochelle‘s prompt pic this week:

isn’t as good as it should be. Next week I’ll be back up to speed I promise. You might want to come back then. But if you really want to read the 100 sub-standard words I churned out, here they are:

A journey begins with a single step, a friendship starts with a smiled hello, a new life begins with a simple decision.
It wasn’t because he didn’t want to travel Route 66. I didn’t mind, our Bucket Lists are different. I didn’t want to go shark swimming. But while I politely declined and wished him well, he told me my trip was a stupid childhood dream.
So I made that simple decision. I will follow my wish, make my journey, alone. Eager to meet the new friends I make on the way, to greet the new life that awaits me.

  1. Welcome back! I’ve recently made a come back to FF as well.
I’m glad she didn’t stick around in what would have undoubtedly led to an unhappy relationship. It’s got to be give and take, not just give. Nice!
