Planning ahead

5 February, 2015

I am one of life’s planners. I like to know what I will be doing this time next week, I draw up lists of the things I want to treat myself with next time payday comes round, If I haven’t decided what I want for dinner by about 3pm I start to get a bit panicky. You get the idea. It’s all part of how my head works, I need a high degree of order to get me through life.

Two of the best weekends away I have had were in Barcelona at the brilliantly eclectic electronic music festival Sonar. I’m really keen to go back, but this year I’m trying to avoid spending too much so attendoing this June is out of the question. And then I discovered that there is a Sonar Reykjavik! That’s right people, my favourite country is now part of the Sonar family! The Icelandic version of the festival is held in mid-February – next week in fact – so I’m too late to organise anything for this year. Plus I’m not spending this year. So I’ve pencilled in the holiday off work for the corresponding week on 2016 and once the final dates are announced, I will be booking flights and accomodation.

Not everyone has started planning their 2016 holidays yet but I have. That’s right folks, in 53 weeks time I will be back in Iceland!

  1. nice post 🙂

  2. I’m not sure why this gave me a chuckle. Iceland or bust! isn’t something I would expect to see, Safe travels!
