Choon Choosday: S Club 7 – S Club Party

As has been well documented, there ain’t no party like an S Club party! I love S Club (even in spite of that double negative), I saw them on all three of their tours back in the day and now, finally, they are touring again. I have been bursting with excitement since I got the tickets six months ago and now, this week, it is actually happening!

I was at the Bournemouth gig on their tour last night (well, I say last night, I am prescheduling so it isn’t last night to me) and (I am confidently predicting that) they were brilliant.  I make no apology for the fact that some see them as manufactured cheese pop, I don’t care that the chorus of this one is a direct rip-off of White Lines by Grandmaster Melle Mel. This is a magnificent work, it is one of my favourite songs of all time, it just happens to feature Hannah Spearritt, the woman of my dreams. It is, as they say, a

Now you know normally I appreciate your tune of the week but this week you have sucked me into a time vortex and I cannot stop visualising my house full of small girls blasting out S-club and Steps singing along at the top of their voices while doing dance routines that would leave the neighbours believing I had a herd of wildebeest trampling through my house. I need to go la down now in a quiet room and wait for several hours until I can get the song out of my head lol
