Choon Choosday: Morcheeba – Trigger Hippie

I had such a massive crush on Skye Edwards when this first Morcheeba album came out. It was the height of Trip Hop and I played this CD to death. I went to see them live at Shepherds Bush and was there early enough to be right on the rail, right in the middle, right where Skye stood and sang. Swoon.

But memories aside, this has everything – hypnotic bass, lazy trip hop percussion, smoky slide guitar and of course Skye’s relaxing-and-warm-as-a-hot-chocolate-bath vocals. Spot on. What a
