Choon Choosday: Zero – Emit/Collect (Rennie Pilgrem’s Agatha Stomp mix)

I am always happy to share tunes from a wide variety of artists, genres and times, but this week let’s get back to one that epitomises the word “choon”.

Around the turn of the millenium, breaks was a massive genre within the wider dance-music scene, and this was onw of the biggest tunes of the day. It’s got an infectious and relentless bass line and rhythm, but it’s that huge (hooj) riff that kicks in around 2:2o after the first breakdown that raises this to the status of classic, of epic.

It’s perfect. It’s of its time, yet timeless. It begs for an instant rewind. It’s a

choooooooooooooooonn!!
