Friday Fictioneers – Crunch

12 May, 2017

Hi all. No time for a witty intro this week, I am running very late posting and have only just finishing (a very quick (and quite drunken)) editing.

So I shall just say that Rochelle sent us her own photo this week

which 22 million writers from around the world have drawn inspiration from, and shared their 100 words on Froggy Island.

Here are mine. Hope you like them…

It’s ironic, given his complaints that I check my phone while driving, that he texted his apology while I was in the car. His car.

“She meant nothing to me,” he pleaded.

Yeah right.

“It was a one off.”

For the third time.

The nearside wheel mounted the pavement. The front wing met the lamppost.

A deafening crunch.

“Of course I still love you.”

Reverse. More crunching.

“Can’t we leave it in the past?”

I got out to admire the damage.

“What’s behind us isn’t important.”

You won’t need this then.

My white knuckled fist met his wing mirror.

Taxi!

As for this, love it! Too bad so sad, Buster!

  6. Way to go! That’s going to hurt! Great fun flash.

  7. Ha! Sounds like this is very deserved… at least in her mind.

  8. As stated already, very fun read and the way she casually destroys his car whilst texting is hilarious

  9. Karma bites, doesn’t it!

  10. Dear TRG,

I’d say Car-ma drove his direction. Well done.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  11. Talk about bad timing. He was asking for it sending that message while she was driving his car. Not the smartest thing he ever did. Good writing, RG. 🙂 — Suzanne
