Friday Fictioneers- Garage

13 October, 2017

Sorry I missed Fic last Fri, I didn’t get a chance as it was such a crazy week. In a good way. A very good way indeed. Which one day I might share with you. But moving on…

I’m back in the zone this week, opening Rochelle‘s email with this prompt pic

courtesy of Douglas MacIlroy. If you click here you can visit Froggy Island where FriFicers gather to share their creations. And if you read on, you will find my 100 words below.

The wife’s becoming like her myna bird, asking over and over again when I’ll be finished building that damn garage. And I have to explain, every time; a project like this, I say, takes patience, attention to detail. Any cowboy could build a garage in a weekend, and then be picking up bits of garage from all over the neighbourhood come the first big storm.

I’m nearly finished now; just the electrics, the walls and the floor. But before the floor goes down, I have to fill the hole beneath it. Then she’ll stop asking me over and over again.

  1. That’s one way to stop her going on and on! Clever.

    Click to read my FriFic!

  2. That’s one way to keep her quiet…!

  3. Yikes! That bad, eh?

  4. Dear TRG,

Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m of the female persuasion, but I’ve little sympathy for this sluggard. I hope someone warns her. 😉 Good one.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  5. I was gonna say “that’s one way…” but it’s been said.
She probably should be glad he spends so much time there and not in the house bugging her! 😉

  6. Not got very far, has he? I doubt whether he’ll be any more effectual when it comes to murder. In this life, here are the doers – and the fantasists.
    Nicely told, Reclining Gentleman.

  7. I hope he’s attacked by a whole army of female mynahs. BEFORE he fills that hole.

  8. Maybe he could just ask her to shut up? Oops, he probably already has.

  9. OMG…that’s terrible! What’s worse is I sorta laughed :/
